| REFURBISHMENT
The lounge was refurbished
about 2002. It was formerly decorated with fishing memorabilia
that included three large sawfish tusks. It now features a collection
of prints by widely recognised American photographer Michael Kahn.

HORSE
TALES
The
previous owner once brought a horse in after a charity ride along
the beach. One of two boozers in the saloon bar exclaimed "There's
a horse in the lounge" "you're drunk you old fool!" retorted his
mate.

FYFE
BREWING COMPANY
The Fyfe Brewing Company
is one of the smallest breweries in the UK. The plant capacity
is 2.5 barrels - 90 gallons - per brew.
Head brewer Jim Brande is happy to conduct mini - tours, but we
require a wee bit of notice.
The name Fyfe has its' roots in the celtic "Fibh", the name of
the son of a Pictish king. |
